Celebrating excellent June 2025
A-Level Results.
Virtus College The British Sixth Form is proud to announce another series of excellent A Level results, continuing the consistent trend of academic success. These results reflect the hard work, resilience, and determination of our students and staff.
This year, an impressive 71% of students achieved at least one A*/A, with 42% of all grades awarded at A*/A, a testament to our unwavering commitment to academic excellence. The majority of our students (64%) secured A*-B grades which illustrate the consistent high performing academic outcomes at the college. These results open doors for our students to pursue a wide range of university courses, and career paths, both in the UK and internationally.
Exceptional performances include, but are not limited to, Nicolas Valderrama who achieved A*A*A*A A and will study Engineering at University of Cambridge, and Leire Floristan who secured A*AAA and is pursuing a career in Medicine. In addition, Gabriel Ezerzer with a profile of AAAAB will read PPE at Durham University. While we are incredibly proud of all our students who worked hard for these phenomenal academic outcomes, this year it is worth noting the achievement of Camille Deschanel who joined us in Year 13 and after an intensive year of study and guidance secured AAAA grades. She will read Culture, Media and Creative Industries at Kings´College London. Jaime Guerrero joins IE with a scholarship for Academic excellence, securing an A*AABB in his A-levels.
Subject-specific highlights include a strong performance across our sciences with outcomes such as 75% of students attaining A*-B grades in Biology, and Chemistry, with the same picture seen in Physics where 75% of students were awarded A*-B grades. In Mathematics the 2025 exam series saw stunning achievements with 70% of students securing A*-A grades. Pleasingly, in Economics a 100% of students achieved A*- B grades, while in Further Maths 100% of students secured A* grades. This consistent trend of high performance continues with outcomes such as 75% A*-B in Media, 75% A*-B grades in French.
The Headteacher Mrs Radford said; “We are incredibly proud of our students’ achievements. These results are a testament to their dedication and the unwavering support from our staff and families throughout their time at Virtus College.”
We congratulate all our students and wish them every success as they move forward into the next exciting chapter of their lives.

With 48% of our Year 13 students pursuing Social Sciences, Business & Economics, 32% venturing into the health and education field, 12% in Engineering & Applied Sciences, and 8% in Arts, Media & Humanities, Virtus College continues to empower students in diverse and ambitious career pathways.
Value-added education.
We believe that progress matters just as much as achievement. From the beginning of Year 12, each student is placed on a “flight path”: a benchmark based on prior attainment that sets out the minimum expected A-Level outcomes. This approach enables us to tailor our teaching, support and challenge to help every student go beyond their predicted potential.
Our Grade Variance system measures the difference between these initial expectations and actual exam results, offering a precise picture of individual growth. Using data from CAT4 scores, internal assessments and mock exams, our Assessment Team works alongside ALPS, an organisation that benchmarks performance across British schools globally.
In 2025, our value-added data placed Virtus College in the ALPS top 1% of British schools worldwide, a testament to the power of our personalised educational model. Students routinely exceed expectations, not only outperforming their original projections, but also reflecting the depth of care and ambition embedded in our approach.
Grade Variance is more than a number, it captures the transformational journey our students undertake and affirms our commitment to unlocking potential in every learner.
