Enrichment
Programme.
What is the Enrichment Programme?.
Top universities are no longer looking for grades alone, they seek individuals with curiosity, independence and drive. At Virtus College, our Enrichment Programme bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-world preparation. Developed in-house and refined over the years, this unique curriculum enables students to explore academic interests, build new skills, and deepen their understanding of the subjects they wish to pursue at university.
Each course is designed to offer students a practical insight into future career paths while also enhancing their academic profile. The result is a cohort of individuals not only ready to apply to top institutions, but truly prepared to succeed in them and beyond.
Benefits of the Enrichment Programme.
Through the Enrichment Programme, students gain a global outlook, deeper self-awareness, and the intellectual confidence to contribute meaningfully in any setting. Courses equip students with highly transferable skills such as public speaking, research techniques, critical thinking, and the ability to analyse complex issues. These experiences allow students to strengthen their university applications, demonstrate commitment to their chosen degrees, and stand out among other applicants.
Courses available in the Enrichment Programme.
All students follow the Enrichment Programme as a core part of their Sixth Form experience. In Year 12, they select two courses; in Year 13, they specialise in one. Each course links directly to potential degree and career pathways and culminates in a tangible student-led project. These range from medical research reports and business plans with product launches, to scientific models and coding-based innovations, each providing meaningful, applied experience.

Debating.
Debating is a compulsory and integral part of the Virtus College experience, central to our mission of developing articulate, informed, and confident individuals. Regular sessions focus on building essential skills in public speaking, persuasive argumentation, and performance under pressure.
Through structured debates on pressing political, social, and economic issues, students engage critically with the world around them. They learn to think on their feet, challenge ideas constructively, and communicate with clarity and conviction. Whether aspiring to careers in law, politics, business, or academia, all students benefit from the intellectual rigour and leadership development debating provides.
