About Us.
A British Sixth-Form school in madrid.
Virtus College is an independent British school in Madrid, founded in 2016 by Oxford and Imperial College alumni. We specialise exclusively in the final two years of secondary education, offering a tailored A-Level experience that blends academic rigour with personalised support. With small class sizes (never more than ten students) we ensure each learner receives close attention, meaningful challenge, and expert guidance.
Excellence through personalisation.
At the heart of our philosophy is a truly individualised education. Every student follows a bespoke two-year strategy built on their strengths, ambitions, and learning style. With the support of weekly mentoring, a dynamic Enrichment Programme, and expert university counselling, students graduate with the skills, confidence, and qualifications to succeed at top UK and international universities.
Unrivalled preparation for university.
Through our dedicated Careers Team, students receive strategic guidance for university applications from day one. Whether applying to Oxford, Cambridge, the Ivy League, or top Spanish and European institutions, we offer tailored support including admissions coaching, interview preparation, and college essay and personal statement development. Our students leave us not only with outstanding grades but with the mindset and maturity to excel in higher education.
Outstanding british teachers and mentors
Virtus College is proud to have a faculty of subject specialists trained at leading institutions including Oxford, Cambridge, and LSE. More than just teachers, they act as mentors, guiding students through academic challenges and helping them grow in confidence, independence, and intellectual curiosity. Our 1:5 staff-student ratio ensures each young person is known, supported, and inspired.
A close-knit, global community.
With a carefully curated student body, the school offers an atmosphere where mutual respect, collaboration, and genuine connection flourish. We follow a culture of attentiveness, where students are known not only by name but by their ambitions, character, and potential. This community ethos is complemented by a truly international outlook—drawing students from diverse backgrounds who share a common drive for excellence.
